Sunderland Shorts Film Festival returns, proudly showcasing the best short films from around the World and across the country, while championing the homegrown talent from here in the region.

Since 2015 Sunderland Shorts has been dedicated to providing unmissable film experiences for film fans and filmmakers alike. Showing over 130 short films & music videos across 15 screenings meant we were able to deliver a fantastically diverse selection of films across all genres; making sure we had something for everyone. We also hosted a number of networking and industry events including those from leading names from BFI NETWORK – FILM HUB NORTH, BBC WRITERS ROOM & NORTH EAST SCREEN.
