SPARK ANIMATION is Western Canada’s premiere animation festival and the largest presentation and gathering of animation in British Columbia. SPARK ANIMATION presents a wide range of programming for all ages including family-friendly screenings, late-night presentations for more mature audiences, as well as talks and opportunities for attendees to meet, interact and learn from creators.
A community-driven, largely volunteer-run, grassroots festival, SPARK ANIMATION brings creatives and fans together in an intimate event that allows for meaningful, one-on-one interactions.
SPARK ANIMATION continues to provide a hybrid experience with both in-person and online programming, allowing attendees from across the province to access world-class animation.
SPARK ANIMATION is BC’s only Oscar-Accredited festival as well as a Canadian Film Academy Qualifying festival.
