Requirements:
1. Submission Guidelines
We accept all genres of films and animations, but all submissions must comply with the content guidelines of Instagram and Facebook:

Submissions that violate these platform rules will have their posts removed, which will impact the exposure of your work on our social media platforms.
If there are concerns about potential violations, we will request new still images for review. Only after ensuring compliance will we post your content on our platforms.
2. Technical Requirements:
File format: MP4 or MOV.
Resolution: Minimum 1920x1080.
Subtitles: Required for all non-English films.
3. Online and In-Person Screenings
Online screenings will be conducted via Zoom or YouTube Live Streaming, providing a global platform for your work to be seen.
The screening time details are dependent on the number of submissions. Once finalized, all submitters will be notified immediately and provided with the streaming link.
4. Permissions
By submitting your work—including films, still images, posters, trailers, and full films—you grant the New York Film Screening Festival permission to promote your project on our social media platforms and include it in festival screenings.
While we strive to promote all still images, New York Film Screening Festival reserves the right to select which content to post, particularly in cases where potential guideline violations are detected.
5. Copyright
Submitters must hold the rights to all content in their submission, including music, visuals, and text. The festival is not liable for any copyright disputes.
6. Behavior Guidelines
Social media platforms strictly prohibit hate speech or offensive comments. Participants engaging in such behavior will be blocked and permanently banned from all New York Film Screening Festival activities.
7. Respect for Artists
Each work represents the dedication and passion of the artist. We value and celebrate every submission and expect participants to foster a respectful and supportive community.
8. Refund Policy
All submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal or disqualification.
