Animation Festivals Directory

The main reason why we decided to organize an international festival for animated film in the Republic of Macedonia is the desire and the need for the animated film to enter Macedonia wide open. Animax Skopje Fest is the first animated film festival in Macedonia. We see it as a unique opportunity to present the domestic, Macedonian creative potentials in their home country, with which the audience will get a clear idea of ​​what is currently being created in Macedonia in this field. The festival has a competitive nature and is open to animators from all over the world.

The festival aims to raise and build the culture in terms of making animated films, for adults and children, which present different aspects of everyday life. Authors of these films from all over the world take part in this festival by sending their animated films. Animaks Skopje Fest is held in November every year. On the last night of the festival, awards are given to the most successful animated films that have gone through a previous round of competition and are chosen as awardees by the Jury – the committee.
