Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival features Welsh premieres of Japanese animation in Cardiff and Aberystwyth such as the critically acclaimed “Penguin Highway” and the magical family adventure “Birthday Wonderland” as well as two films programmed as a tribute to the Kyoto Animation studio. There is the really exciting chance to take part in workshops and master classes with an award-winning animator from Japan, Takeshi Yashiro, and his producer Satoshi Akutsu. They are travelling to Wales to talk about their careers and teach people about their style of stop-motion animation and will do a live animation session for audiences.
